Play Readings

We have a monthly programme of play readings, simply for the enjoyment of reading new plays without any of the pressures of performing.  These take place from 7.45pm on the second Monday each month in the Gladys Tetley room (enter through the bar) at the Memorial Hall.  We often choose for readings plays that would be difficult for us to do - eg because of a very large cast size or complicated staging problems - but sometimes we use play readings to try out plays that we're considering for the next season.

Monday 11th October 2010:   Arsenic and Old Lace by Josef Kesselring

No need to book your place - simply turn up!  If you are considering becoming a member and would like to come along to an informal play reading to see what the group is all about, please do come along or contact Bernard Riley on 0113 230 0312 or email him at membership@adel-players.org.uk so that he can arrange to meet you at the door.

Annual Dinner

Adel Players' Annual Dinner 2009 was a jolly night out for members of the group with good food, fine wine and lots of laughter.

Saturday 10th July 2010 - Wharfedale Festival of Theatre 2010 Awards Evening at St Mary's School, Menston.  We have five nominations so it will be an nailbiting evening! Tickets are £12 each (no concessions) and strictly for members only.  Please contact Bernard and Pat Riley to book tickets.
