Another fabulous murder mystery from the pen of Adel Players' member Pat Riley, this equivalent of a one act play will test the audience's power of observation as they watch events unfold in familiar local settings.

Run in conjunction with the Badminton section (thanks for the lovely food!) and in aid of fundraising for Adel War Memorial Association (Registered Charity No. 523466).  Tickets are £10 which includes supper, the murder mystery, a crime quiz with prizes and the chance to enter a raffle for various gifts.

Arsenic and Old Lace

by Joseph Kesselring

Directed by Dianne Newby

Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th April 2012

This farcical black comedy revolves around Mortimer Brewster (remember Cary Grant in the film?) and his homicidal crazy family in Brooklyn as they seek to avoid the attentions of the local police. Bodies in the cellar, thwarted wedding plans and criminally inclined plastic surgeons all conspire to provide enough laughs to fill the Panama Canal. The New York Times opening night review in 1941 said that this was a play "so funny that none of us will ever forget it." Come and see if you agree, but book early to avoid disappointment!
